Galleries

Here are some images by KPC members. We'd be pleased to show any of your favourite pieces of work. You can just email them to me (see the Contact page) and I will do the rest. Ideally, please make the images 72ppi and about 10" on longest edge, maximum 600kb - but don't worry too much, I can adjust them to suit.

The following file types are used here:
folder A standard Slide Show, currently made using "JAlbum". No download necessary.
Adobe Reader is required for viewing PDF files. Download Adobe Reader here.

Online Competition 2010 - Top Shots

Eyjafjallajokull - Volcano in Iceland

View with Powerpoint Viewer or Open Office

Here's something new - I can now display very large images, one at a time, with the "ZoomViewer" below. Ideal for Panoramas or very fine detailed images at high resolution - still JPGs but up to 300ppi - or at 72ppi with very large physical dimensions. The first image here is a panorama taken last spring. Any new panoramas or high resolution images you have and would like to show are welcome. Just send them to the usual place. I'll try to give everybody equal time online for their moment of fame.

Just hover your mouse over the controls at the bottom of the panel to see what they do.

Expressive Photography
This presentation will cover such topics as Dreamscapes, Moonlight Dreamscapes, Composite montages, and Panning. André will conduct a short demo on Photoshop on how he creates some of his images. There will be plenty of time for questions before the break.
Around the World in Pictures
Featuring recent images, André will take you along on a Journey around the World, with stops in Greenland, Tuscany, Mexico and the Palouse in the U.S.A. to name a few. Travel photography is André’s passion, and you will understand why.

Afternoon presentations

Nature and Landscapes
André starts the afternoon with a program on Nature and Landscapes, from far away places such as New Zealand, to places right around your backyard. There will also be a demonstration on how to create Panoramas in Photoshop.
Photographing People
André concludes with a program on Photographing People. From friends and relatives to strangers. How to go about capturing someone’s spirit.

Now for something completely Exotic...

Modern Fuels Gallery....

Almost every month, Modern Fuel has an event or an exhibition which requires photo documentation. The regular volunteer that was relied on to do this is no longer able to do it. If one or more KPC members is interested, please contact modernfuel@bellnet.ca. Though they are unable to pay anything for this service, they would be happy to offer an honorary membership to Modern Fuel for the year.
